Working as a Production Employee means that you get to work on a variety of tasks. You perform supporting and executive tasks in the production process, for example, at a factory. The activities within this job can vary greatly depending on the industry or sector in which you're operator. For example, the Production Employee operates a machine, works on the assembly line or in a warehouse. To work as a Production Employee, it is in most cases not important to have completed an education. However, it is possible to receive training and this will be at MBO level. It is often possible to follow internal training or courses. As a Production Employee, you can work at different companies. You can work for one of our top employers such as: Elho, Curtec, Tobroco-GIANT or SPS.
A Production Manager is someone who leads a team of (production) workers in production. You keep the overview on the work floor, ensure that everything runs smoothly and that no problems arise. A leadership role suits you perfectly and you can handle a lot of responsibility on the work floor. If an employee in your team runs into problems in his/her work, you will be the point of contact for your colleagues. To work as a Production Manager, the training required varies from employer to employer, but it is common to have completed an appropriate education. Experience may also be the deciding factor.
An Foreman is someone who leads the production department, usually in a production or industrial environment. Within this position, you mostly take care of the production process and make sure everything is running smoothly. You also communicate regularly with other departments and with the manager to stay well informed about the current state of affairs.
A Work Planner is involved in the calculation, support and preparation of all work to be carried out within a project. The Work planner is responsible for making work drawings, planning, work instructions and purchasing materials. These courses are almost all at MBO level and can be followed at various schools in the Netherlands. It is also possible to follow a course that allows you to specify yourself in a certain part of your job.
A Quality employee monitors the quality of the entire production. For example, the Quality Employee is responsible for handling complaints, process deviations, investigations, contact with suppliers and the quality manual. To get started as a Quality Employee, there are several training courses to follow. These trainings can be followed at different levels. You can take these trainings/courses at different schools or online.
A Machine Operator is someone who operates, sets up, checks and converts machines in a factory environment. In this position, you are mainly concerned with the actual operation of the machines. A packinging employee is someone who is involved in packing, stickering and preparing products for shipment. An Assembly Employee is someone who is involved in putting products together on an assembly line. 'Assembling' involves bringing together different parts of a product.
